Job Description

Position Overview:

The Captain Waiter plays a pivotal role in enhancing the dining experience of our guests. As the focus server, you are responsible for overseeing that all customers are receiving the best quality and experience that the restaurant can serve. Ensuring exceptional service standards, and creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. The Captain Waiter acts as the liaison between the dining area and the kitchen, ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

-Ensure proper setup and cleanliness of service area, stations, tables, and tableware accessories
-Oversee and participate in table setup ensuring cleanliness and proper setup as per reservations from management
-Attend daily morning briefs from management to discuss previous day reports, and the day’s operation
-Welcome guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and provide menus upon arrival, while ensuring special needs are met
-Serve guests with their orders accurately, and ensure a smooth and clean table during their dining
-Coordinate with the kitchen team to manage timing of courses and address any special requests (within restaurant guidelines)
-Handle guest queries and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a satisfactory resolution
-Monitor inventory of dining supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or needs for replacement
-Provide daily and monthly reporting and feedback from guests to management and kitchen staff to continually improve service and menu offerings
-Must pass Menu knowledge tests required by restaurant

Qualifications:

-Proven experience in a similar role
-At least one foreign language other than Arabic (English or French)
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Deep understanding of customer service principles and practices
-Knowledge of food safety and handling regulations
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
-Flexibility to work long shifts, including weekends and holidays
